Project Outline

       “Romance of three kingdoms” is enriched by various kinds of historical events mixed with students’ fancy toward ancient period. It is an imaginary world based on ancient Chinese history – Three Kingdoms Period, mainly designed for international students with a close look on Chinese culture. In this world, Characters are adapted from historical figures such as Chao Chao (曹操), Kong Ming (孔明), Zhou Yu (周瑜), Little Chao (小喬). Players will act as main character- Guan Yun Chang (關雲長), following the plot to experience different stories in three kingdoms. It starts from Wei kingdom during the war. Only solve different tasks step by step can they access the next Kingdom of Shu and Wu. Throughout the story, it includes not only Chinese phrasal quiz, Kong Ming chess but also love story between Zhou Yu and Little Chao.
        The scene consists of different locations created by individuals according to figure and task need. For example, there are Chao Chao’s luxurious camp, soldier’s wooden house, Little Chao’s love pond and Liu Bei’s giant castle. The two guides, storyteller and gossiper, explain the storyline. Players could solve the tasks by learning functions of avatars and interacting with the host.
